This focus group is open to anyone who wants to grow in their walk with God. You can join us for a semester, or the whole year. We will meet on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm to 10pm, and each semester will be about 12 weeks. The aim of this group is to equip you for every good work Jesus has prepared for you, from the ability to get more out of the Bible, the ability to minister to others with confidence and trust, and the ability to influence people through Godly leadership.

Our aim will be to make you develop a deep and abiding love for Scripture. We will begin with an Introduction to Biblical Study, learning to study and interpret the Bible through Philemon and Galatians, and covering a range of books like Deuteronomy, Kings, the Wisdom Literature, and New Testament books like Acts, Romans, the Johannine Letters and Revelation.

In this semester we will seek to impart God's heart for people, along with the ministry skills, trust and confidence to make a difference. God's desire is that all people be saved, healed and free to pursue His purposes for them. We will look at foundational principles for Healing, our Authority as Kingdom Citizens, Words of Knowledge, the Healing Prayer model, including demonstration and practice, testimonies, impartation, teaching and prayer. We will also focus on developing prophetic gifting through hearing God and learning the basics for preaching the gospel - from witness, to teaching and preaching.

Our final semester will focus on godly leadership as influence, seeking to impart the ability to influence people into a deeper relationship with God and fulfilling their God-given purposes in life. We will look at Personality, Identity and Spiritual Warfare, Spiritual Gifting and Passion, Doing Church, Church Leadership, our CORE small group leaders' training, touching on subjects like Empowering Leadership, Natural Church Development and finishing off with Mentoring, Coaching and Encouragement.

It is our prayer that this focus group will lead to lasting personal transformation in your life, and that you may be used mightily for the glory of Jesus!

If you are interested in joining us on this journey, please note that we may ask for a £5 per Semester contribution for the material used. Please contact the Church Office or pick up an application form at one of our Sunday services.

 Thank you

We look forward to seeing you there!

 James 1:25

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

John 5:19

Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

We are starting a new Teaching Series called "Into the Wilderness, focusing on the time immediately following the baptism of Jesus where the Holy Spirit came upon Him and led Him into the wilderness. It was a time of testing, of fasting and of praying, which was to prepare Jesus for the ministry of the kingdom that was to follow.

We want to follow in the footsteps of Jesus as we begin the series, starting with a men's prayer morning at sunrise on Golden Cap, followed by a breakfast cooked on Golden Cap and followed by a dip in the ocean at Seatown as a symbol of cleansing and preparation for the start of the series on the Sunday.

As Monday the  29th is a public holiday, we will begin the prayer and fasting on Tuesday the 30th of August until Saturday 3 September 2016. There will be worship and prayer every evening from 7:30pm to 9pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evening will be at the Vineyard Centre, 1 Market Street, Yeovil. The Thursday night will be at All Saints church in Yeovil Marsh. The time of prayer and fasting will conclude with prayer on Saturday morning at the Vineyard Centre, from 9:30am to 11am.

Statement from Yeovil churches:

“As followers of Jesus we are committed to loving our neighbours. This is foundational to who we are called to be; a community of diverse people who reflect a God whose sacrificial love reaches out to each person, irrespective of nationality, belief, behaviour, or any of the other differences that so easily divide us. His love is unconditional, freely offered to the apparently ‘deserving’ and the allegedly ‘undeserving’. That is why grace is amazing.
Whatever the politics, and whichever side of the debate people are on, we encourage our whole community to seek to disagree well, to be kind and to hear each other rather than fear each other. We also pray that in the local, national and international arena, wisdom, justice and mercy will be at the heart of any discussions.
Regardless of how we voted in the recent referendum, as Christians we are committed to loving those from other nations who are here. We declare emphatically that they are welcome. We are resolved to show the same compassion towards them as we seek to show towards all other members of our community. They are important in God’s eyes, so they are important to us. And we will stand alongside them, and against prejudice, discrimination and hatred.
Jesus consistently welcomed strangers and valued those whom others disliked.
He still does, and we stand with Him.”

On the 12th of April 2016 we will be starting a 4 week series to provide a walk through the Bible. The first week will be taught by Hendrik Hattingh and will focus on the New Testament. The next 3 weeks will be dedicated to the Old Testament and will be taught by Hermoine Booysen, who has a real passion for the Bible and has been teaching and leading in YWAM (Youth With A Mission) for many years.

We are living in the most biblically illiterate times ever, which means that the church is being robbed of her chief weapon - the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. This time will be dedicated to rekindling people's passion for scripture. Jesus used Scripture to counteract the temptations that came his way, to teach, correct and rebuke. If we are to be his disciples then we ought to do the same!

There are many voices proclaiming that the Bible should be changed to fit in with modern culture, but we maintain firmly that it is our lives that should change to fit in with the Bible.

2 Timothy 3:14-17 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Come and join us as we walk through the Bible!

A Place To Belong

If you are looking for a church and want to find out if the Vineyard is the right place for you, or if you want to know more about the Vineyard, join us for an evening with some of the leaders.
